Watch order

Yes. Release follows FX premieres. Story sorts by when most of each season’s plot is set—Freak Show (1952) and Death Valley sit early; Murder House’s 2011 present arrives mid-list; AHS: 13 lands last. Chronology is a fun rewatch tool, not the best first binge, because crossovers still spoil earlier seasons.

Connections

For Apocalypse: watch Murder House and Coven first; Hotel helps; Asylum’s Lana is a bonus. Roanoke, Cult, and 1984 are skippable for that payoff.

For AHS: 13: treat it as a reunion—Murder House, Coven, and Apocalypse are the highest-value homework; Freak Show and Cult help if specific villains return. You can still sample 13 as event TV, but callbacks will hit harder with that base.

Season 10 is one FX season with two halves: Red Tide (modern Provincetown) and Death Valley (1950s–70s aliens). Release lists one Double Feature row. Story splits the halves so chronological guides can place Death Valley near Freak Show and Red Tide near Delicate.
