FAQ

Release vs story order, Remastered, Broken Road, and sequel status.

Release order

Release order is when Days Gone and Remastered launched in the US (2019–2025). Story order is a single Deacon campaign—Remastered retells the 2019 game. There is no second mainline numbered sequel on this page.

Recommended: Days Gone Remastered on PS5, or Days Gone on PC with the Broken Road DLC. You do not need the 2019 PS4 disc if you own Remastered. There is only one main story to finish.

Remastered & PC

Remastered (PS5, April 25, 2025) is the same Deacon campaign with upgraded presentation and extra modes. For most PlayStation players it replaces the 2019 base game. PS4 owners often get a paid upgrade path—this page keeps the 2019 row for Release history.

Broken Road is a paid DLC for the PC Days Gone that adds Remastered features day-and-date with the PS5 Remastered launch. It is not a new story campaign or Days Gone 2.

Optional & related

As of August 2026, there is no released Days Gone 2 on this timeline. Remastered / Broken Road refresh the original game only. Check official Bend / PlayStation channels for any future sequel news—this page will update when a new mainline ships.
