Release order

- New to Castlevania → watch Season 1 first; Nocturne is a later sequel series
- Full Netflix arc → Castlevania S1 → S2 → S3 → S4, then Nocturne S1 → S2
- Game players → treat this as an adaptation; use the games page for play order
- Lords of Shadow and Netflix share names only—no watch link between them
Story order tips
When events happen in the anime's own fiction—1455 through the late 1470s for Trevor's arc, then 1783–1792 for Richter in Nocturne. These years echo Dracula's Curse and Rondo of Blood but do not match the games beat-for-beat.
- Main series → 1455 (Lisa meets Dracula) through the late 1470s (Lisa's death 1475, war 1476, seasons 3–4 aftermath)
- Nocturne → 1792 French Revolution (1783 prologue)—watch after the main series for character payoffs
- Do not merge Netflix years into Igarashi game Story rows on /castlevania
- On Story order, later seasons may be hidden—reveal when ready or use Show all spoilers

Watch order
After Castlevania seasons 1–4 for the intended experience—Nocturne is a sequel series set about 300 years later with Richter Belmont (descendant of Trevor and Sypha). A brief Trevor cameo in Nocturne lands better if you know the main series ending.
Release order is when Netflix dropped each season in the US (2017–2025). Story order is two rows—1455 through the late 1470s for Trevor's saga, then 1783–1792 for Nocturne. Always watch each show in season number order.
Canon & games
The Castlevania games timeline (/castlevania) covers Konami release and Igarashi story order (1987–2019)—plus the Lords of Shadow reboot branch. This page is Netflix animation only.
No. Netflix draws from Dracula's Curse, Rondo of Blood, and Symphony of the Night characters but changes events, deaths, and timelines. Treat the show as its own story. For game canon, use the games page—Symphony of the Night and Dracula's Curse are common starting points.
