When events happen in the anime's own fiction—1455 through the late 1470s for Trevor's arc, then 1783–1792 for Richter in Nocturne. These years echo Dracula's Curse and Rondo of Blood but do not match the games beat-for-beat.
- Main series → 1455 (Lisa meets Dracula) through the late 1470s (Lisa's death 1475, war 1476, seasons 3–4 aftermath)
- Nocturne → 1792 French Revolution (1783 prologue)—watch after the main series for character payoffs
- Do not merge Netflix years into Igarashi game story-order titles on Castlevania games timeline
- On Story order, later seasons may be hidden—reveal when ready or use Show all spoilers

Castlevania — Season 1
NetflixTV seriesAnimationFour episodes unite Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, and Alucard against Dracula after Lisa’s execution sparks war. Powerhouse Animation’s adult take on Dracula’s Curse launched Netflix’s Castlevania line in a bingeable ~90-minute blast.
- Overview
- Compressed siege pilot season—profane humor, painterly violence, and a found-family trio that defined the show’s voice. Short enough to finish in one night, strong enough to greenlight longer seasons.
- Related games
- Inspired by Castlevania III / Symphony names on Castlevania games—not a shot-for-shot remake.
- Where it fits
- Start here. Then Seasons 2–4 before Nocturne. About 90–100 minutes total.
- Premiere dates
- US Netflix premiere July 7, 2017—four episodes, same-day drop.

Castlevania — Season 2
NetflixTV seriesAnimationEight episodes escalate the war on Dracula’s castle—human armies, vampire generals, and the trio’s uneasy alliance under siege. Peak action storytelling before the show pivots to aftermath politics in Season 3.
- Overview
- Doubles runtime and cast ambition; court intrigue inside the castle matches battlefield spectacle. Still loosely 1476-war flavored while inventing Netflix-original generals, betrayals, and endings.
- Related games
- Echoes 1476 Dracula war lore on Castlevania games with major plot and character changes.
- Where it fits
- Watch immediately after Season 1—direct continuation. Required before Season 3’s court and Corridor turns.
- Premiere dates
- US Netflix premiere October 26, 2018—eight episodes.

Castlevania — Season 3
NetflixTV seriesAnimationTen episodes trade castle siege action for post-war politics, Carmilla’s Styrian schemes, and Infinite Corridor cosmic horror. Character splits across regions set Season 4’s collisions—and skipping this season breaks the finale’s emotional math.
- Overview
- Tonal gear-shift season—slower burns, moral gray zones, and antagonists that are almost wholly show-original rather than game bosses. Rewards patience with court intrigue that Season 4 detonates.
- Related games
- No single Konami chapter maps cleanly—classic Belmont order stays on Castlevania games.
- Where it fits
- Required bridge after Season 2. Do not jump to Season 4 early if you care about Lenore, Isaac, or Corridor payoffs.
- Premiere dates
- US Netflix premiere March 5, 2020—ten episodes, full-season drop.

Castlevania — Season 4
NetflixTV seriesAnimationTen episodes close Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard’s main Netflix arc—Death, Lenore, and Dracula’s lingering legacy collide across Styria and beyond. Finale of the 2017–2021 series before Nocturne jumps centuries ahead to Richter’s France.
- Overview
- Pays off multi-season threads with large-scale battles and bittersweet character exits. Completes the primary Belmont-era Netflix saga as a 32-episode whole that Nocturne treats as settled history.
- Related games
- Ends primary Netflix saga; classic Belmont play order stays on Castlevania games, separate from show endings.
- Where it fits
- Finish before Nocturne for cameos and tone. Soft endpoint of the main series—do not skip Season 3 first.
- Premiere dates
- US Netflix premiere May 13, 2021—ten episodes, full-season drop.

Castlevania: Nocturne — Season 1
NetflixTV seriesSequelEight episodes follow Richter Belmont and Maria Renard into 1790s France—Revolution streets, vampiric nobility, and Rondo of Blood echoes. Sequel series set ~300 years after Trevor’s war.
- Overview
- Relocates Castlevania Netflix to Revolutionary France with a new core cast while preserving adult-animation intensity. Richter/Maria branding invites Rondo fans without copying the game’s map.
- Related games
- Inspired by Rondo of Blood on Castlevania games—Netflix plot is its own branch.
- Where it fits
- Watch after Castlevania Seasons 1–4 for intended payoffs. Fresh-entry possible, but late cameos land better afterward.

- US Netflix premiere September 28, 2023—eight episodes.

Castlevania: Nocturne — Season 2
NetflixTV seriesSequelEight episodes continue Richter and Maria’s French Revolution fight—full-season drop on January 16, 2025. Powerhouse Animation and showrunner Clive Bradley push the sequel arc toward a temporary endpoint with no Season 3 announced as of mid-2026.
- Overview
- Same-day eight-episode event keeps Nocturne bingeable like later main-series seasons. Latest Netflix Castlevania content—treat Seasons 1–2 as the complete sequel package for now.
- Related games
- Still Netflix fiction; Rondo of Blood play order on Castlevania games does not apply shot-for-shot.
- Where it fits
- Watch after Nocturne Season 1. Season 3 not announced; finish the main 2017–2021 series first for best cameos.
