FAQ
Release vs recommended path, Complete Saga vs Skywalker Saga, Clone Wars insert, and mobile skips.
Release order
Release order lists when each LEGO Star Wars game launched. Story order on this page is a recommended play path—use The Skywalker Saga plus an optional Clone Wars insert so film eras stay chronological without replaying obsolete 2005–2006 discs.
Modern: The Skywalker Saga (start Episodes I–II) → LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars → finish Skywalker Saga Episodes III–IX. Minimal: Skywalker Saga alone. Classic nostalgia: The Complete Saga for Episodes I–VI only.
Play path
No for story—Skywalker Saga remakes all nine films with new levels. Complete Saga is optional nostalgia for the 2005–2007 brick style. Many completionists still keep both for 100% stud runs.
Yes if you want Clone Wars—Skywalker Saga film levels jump from Episode II to III. LEGO Star Wars III is the dedicated animated-era game. Insert it after Ep II levels on the Story path.
