When each Toy Story mainline film opened in US theaters—from Toy Story (1995) through Toy Story 5 (June 19, 2026). This is the recommended first path.

  • First watch → 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5
  • Rewatch with kids → same order; pause after 3 if you want Andy’s ending

Spin-offs & shorts

Lightyear is a movie Andy watched—an origin adventure about the fictional Buzz Lightyear character—not a prequel that Woody’s toys “lived through.” It is not a row on this page. Watch it anytime as a spin-off; it does not replace or reorder Toy Story 1–5.
